Thermodynamic Cycle Theory in Higher Education
STAKEHOLDER DISCUSSION REPORT · AVAILABLE ON REQUESTAn evidence-based assessment of the international higher-education landscape in which thermodynamic cycle theory is taught and in which a positively validated CarnotX framework could become relevant.
What the report maps
The documented landscape comprises 3,799 relevant higher-education providers across 42 partially counted countries, including 1,526 university-level engineering providers and 1,093 non-university technical providers.
The analysis extends beyond engineering. Documented educational settings include engineering and applied higher education, physics, physical chemistry, astronomy and astrophysics, and Earth sciences.
The report distinguishes broad institutional reach from direct curriculum evidence. It does not infer that every identified institution teaches thermodynamic cycles.
Purpose and relevance
The report quantifies the potential educational reach of Beyond Carnot: Operationalizing Clausius and identifies where independent scientific assessment and, if positively validated, subsequent educational evaluation could become relevant.
It complements the Educational and Publishing Relevance Report: that report examines academic and technical literature, while this report maps the international higher-education landscape.
