Workshop proposal

The proposal outlines a workshop to examine a proposed operationalization of the established Clausius reversible-cycle equality, together with energy balance and specified heat-exchange trajectories, into a qualified method for process-specific reversible-cycle benchmarking.
The intended programme connects thermodynamic science and engineering with relevant physics and astronomy expertise. It addresses comparison with existing methods, assumptions and qualification conditions, representative cycle cases, and possible implications for research, engineering and education.
What the proposal covers
- The central scientific question and scope.
- The proposed interdisciplinary programme and participant expertise.
- Independent assessment, expected outcomes and follow-up questions.
- Possible scientific, industrial, educational and publishing contributions.
Current status. The proposal, scientific programme and organizing team are in development. 2027 is the target workshop year; acceptance and scheduling are pending. The workshop is intended to assess the proposed method, with its conclusions remaining open.
